Firm Value Statement:  After over 26 years with the 11th Judicial Circuit Court Family Division, I am committed to bringing conflict resolution to families outside of the court system. During my tenure as Supervisor of Family Court Services, the unit became a model for family courts internationally. I have serviced thousands of high conflict families court ordered to the unit, working with them to reduce conflict, co-parent, share time and develop parenting plans, and also conducted research, written numerous articles, and provided trainings for court, family law and mental health professionals. As former President of both the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and its Florida Chapter, I was instrumental in the development of parenting coordination both in Florida and internationally, and have spearheaded the creation of eldercaring coordination, recognizing that all families are unique and deserve attention sensitive to their specific needs.   My mission is to bring that quality experience to families as a neutral in the collaborative law process to help focus parents on the shared love of their children rather than their anger toward each other.

Deborah M. Thevenin

Firm Value Statement:  As a clinical psychologist with twenty five years experience in family systems,  my primary role as the collaborative team’s  facilitator is to enhance communication. I offer insight into the family’s  dynamics and the individual wants and needs that motivate each client. My goal is to maintain the team’s focus, manage time effectively, encourage participation by all parties, and support honesty and respect between the party’s and among the team’s members. Firm Value Statement:  I am a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and licensed psycho-therapist, currently in private practice in Coconut Grove, Florida.
